About

A bit about the therapist...

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and trauma-informed therapist with more than two decades of experience supporting individuals through life’s most difficult moments. As the Clinical Director and founder of The Hope Spot Therapy & Counseling Services in Woodstock, Georgia, I’ve built a practice rooted in compassion, creativity, and a deep respect for the resilience of the human spirit. My clinical background spans work with children, adolescents, and adults, and my passion lies in walking alongside people as they process trauma, explore identity, and reconnect with their sense of self-worth and possibility. My therapeutic approach is integrative and grounded in evidence-based practices. I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), play therapy, and expressive arts therapy. I also bring in elements of mindfulness, somatic awareness, and strengths-based interventions, always tailoring my work to the individual needs of each client. As a neurodiversity-affirming clinician, I support many clients with ADHD, autism, and sensory sensitivities, and I strive to create a space where all neurotypes feel seen and supported. At The Hope Spot, our practice is person-centered and trauma-informed from the inside out. We believe healing happens in relationship and are intentional about fostering a therapeutic space that is safe, inclusive, and empowering. Our growing team of therapists provides individual therapy for children, teens, and adults using a variety of modalities. We offer in-person and virtual sessions, with flexible scheduling and a private pay model that respects both clinician sustainability and client care. We are proudly LGBTQIA+ affirming, culturally responsive, and committed to ethical, high-quality care. In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about mentoring pre-licensed therapists and giving back to the next generation of healers. I supervise associate therapists and graduate interns through a collaborative, growth-focused lens, and I regularly consult with other clinicians around trauma treatment, neurodivergence, and ethical practice. Whether I’m supporting a client, guiding a team, or creating systems that make therapy more accessible, my mission is the same: to hold space for hope, healing, and authentic connection.
